As evolving knowledge and best practices are constantly and rapidly changing in the healthcare field in general, and clinical laboratories in particular, and as a quality and or safety professional, it is very important that you keep yourself up to date on these changes by having some continuing education (CE) to demonstrate and maintain the skills and knowledge gained through the certification(s) by recertifying the credential.
Therefore, in order to maintain your certification designation (CCLQP and or CCLSP), you are required to:
Obtain and maintain 30 continuing education (CE) hours in the clinical laboratory field (i.e., TAAQD lessons/courses, educational programs, self-study, etc.) over the renewal / recertification cycle which last 2 years (15 hours per year) and
Pay the recertification fee. See below for more information.
CE obtained after your recertification date (December 31) will apply toward your next recertification cycle application.
